Unknown gunmen in Ondo State have reportedly abducted the Regent of Akungba Akoko, Princess Mojisola Omosowon.
Princess Omosowon was kidnapped on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, along Owo-Akure road, according to Sahara Reporters.
A
palace source, told SR that the Regent was taken while on her way to
attend the inaugural lecture of the Federal University of Technology
Akure (FUTA) in Akure, the Ondo state capital..
“The
regent was kidnapped on her way to FUTA in Akure, where she was
officially invited to attend the inaugural lecture of the university,” the source said.
“The
gunmen wore mask and ordered her to enter into a waiting vehicle. They
shot into the air to scare away travelers on the road. The kidnap was
well coordinated”, the source added.
One of the drivers in the Regent’s company was also abducted. Story developing.
