Though the drama of yesterday will not easily be forgotten, what’s somewhat comforting is that Taylor Swift finally gets it when Nicki Minaj says that black women are being sidetracked and not duly recognised for impact they make in the music industry and pop culture.

Nicki Minaj’s series of tweets gave birth to a lot of essays, for or against her opinion, and it also started a worldwide, groundbreaking conversation on the appropriation of black culture and relegation of black female singers in the music industry.

For some quarters, that Nicki Minaj didn’t get nominated is a good thing because without her tweets, this conversation may not have taken place; also Taylor Swift finally gets it.

Again, Taylor Swift’s apology appropriately shames her supporters like Piers Morgan wrote condescending pieces on Nicki Minaj (talk about spitting phlegm in the faces of your supporters. LOL!), but the gem was in Nicki Minaj’s response.

Meanwhile, Meek Mill gave a sorta kinda response to Drake for calling him out on Twitter yesterday, and he did this at the PinkPrint Tour hours ago, where he performed with Nicki Minaj (he sincerely apologised to Nicki for dragging her in his rants).
