COOU EMERGED WINNER OF NACOSS ANAMBRA/ENUGU DIGITAL SHIFT STATE CONFERENCE/SOFTWARE EXHIBITION 2015


The Nigerian Association of Computer Science Students (NACOSS) Anambra/Enugu digital shift (State Conference) titled "SPAN-IT + THE ROLE OF YOUTHS IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY" has come and gone and it is the best of its kind.

The conference featured paper presentations, software exhibition among other events. Speakers of the day Mr Nworah Martin (Author of "Diary of a UNIZIK babe), Mr. Babatunde Olofin (ESUT ICT Director) and Mr. Umeh .I. (Pacent Technologies) adviced the students to know what they do with their time and encouraged them to put more efforts in developing the skills in the areas of Information Technology. "Youth + Technology = Power. Put more creativity in your thinking". They said.
The software exhibition featured 9 contestants who presented different softwares on web, desktop, and mobile platform. At the end of the contest, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (formally known as Anambra State University) emerged as the winner of the contest with a CBT software (Stand alone desktop application) developed by one Mr. Olum Ekene a 300L Computer Science student of the above named university.
According to the partpicipants, "It was a wonderful experience".
