Get Set… Wedding Make-Up!!

It’s your wedding day! The day that you’ve dreamed of all your life! The only word you can comprehend at the moment is “PERFECT” Everything has to be perfect but most of all you want to take everyone’s breath away once you step on that aisle, so… you must look PICTURE PERFECT! Time to call the GLAM FAIRY to work her magic!!! However, you must have it at the back of your mind that the fact you want to look picture perfect is no excuse to go bridezilla with make-up that you startle everyone including your husband to be.

Every bride has a God given right to look breathless and to achieve that in my opinion is to enhance your natural beauty by going for a soft and romantic look. Make sure you wear a foundation that will match your skin tone, use a soft toned eye-shadow that complements your completion like beige, peach or a soft shimmery gold, use a cool coloured lipstick and top it off with lip-gloss. False eyelashes are a must do!!! They draw attention to the eyes by emphasizing them. Those little strands of hair have a way of jazzing up the whole look!

But who am I to tell you how to look on your big day! If you want a high fashion look, by all means please go ahead! Sleek that hair back, smoke up those eyes and go nude on the lips. If you want a bold and glamorous look, concentrate on the eyes and the lips, do a classic eye make-up and gloss up those lips with a beautiful red, pink or whatever shade of lipstick that’s not nude. Just make sure you communicate properly with your make-up artist. Don’t be afraid to tell him/her in clear and plain words what you want and what you are comfortable in! After all it’s your face and it’s your wedding. I once had a bride who emphasized a million and one times on how her eyes must be heavily lined with black liner or else she will not feel like herself, so I had to whip out my pot of black gel eye-liner and lined away!

Lastly and most importantly, whatever look you decide to go for, don’t forget to attack those luscious cheeks with blush, blush, blush!!! They put the whole look together and brighten up the face.

Finally, try to relax, put on a confident beautiful smile and enjoy your day, because at the end of the day what’s the use of a beautifully applied make-up without a beautiful smile!
