Baby brings out softer side to rapper AKA as he shares their first moments

Who would have thought the self proclaimed face of South African hip hop would trade in his tough guy act for nappies, bottles and lullabies?Since the birth of his first child with DJ Zinhle yesterday, AKA has been showing a softer side to his macho rapper image.

It all started on Wednesday morning when the award winning muso took to social media to show off his medical suit, complete with cap while waiting for the delivery of baby Kairo at Sandton Mediclinic.

 

Until now, fans have only seen a glimpse of the doting father to be persona through Zinhle blog, momentsbydjzinhle. She wrote how excited he was to be a dad and that he couldn't wait for little Kairo to make an appearance. In her last blog post before giving birth, Zinhle said AKA had booked a cordoned off, luxury room for them at the costly private hospital.

But it was AKA's tweets and pics that have had fans in awe of how his bundle of joy has seemingly showed a more grounded side to him.

This image of him cradling his newborn was posted shortly after her birth and received thousands of retweets and likes.

 

The tweet below was a classic example of a new daddy crash course on how to care for a new born.

And AKA being blissfully grateful for the massive response to his daughter's birth was...interesting.

All the good publicity certainly can't hurt right now after images of him assaulting a fan hit the internet. Whether the loved up, softer AKA is here to stay remains to be seen, but noone is really complaining for now
