ONE of Nigeria’s comedians, Bright Okpocha, known as Basketmouth, is currently wearing his crown of honour.
Reports say the Globalcom Ambassador has been recognised by the Mayor of Houston, Annice D. Parker, who signed a document proclaiming July 17, 2015 as ‘Basketmouth Day’ in Houston, Texas, U.S.A.
The comedian, as part of his world tour, will be performing his ‘One Man Stand Comedy Concert’ tagged Basketmouth Uncensored at the Ayva Centre in Houston.
Basketmouth was said to have been given the honour for bringing the community together through comedy.
To confirm the achievement, the comedian wrote on Instagram: “And yet again…GOD is partial with me. Step by step, it can only get better”when he shared the picture of the letter of proclaimation.”
